Network Engineer to £24k – Richmond, Surrey 
A Network Support Assistant is required by an expanding client based near to Richmond in Surrey. Candidates can expect a salary of up to £24,000.

Main tasks and responsibilities 
- Maintain the IT systems and user PCs. 
- Provide technical support to users experiencing problems 
- Ensure routine procedures and process are completed on a regular basis as appropriate 
- Help maintain the health of network and other IT infrastructure 
- Maintain the telephone and voicemail system 
- Configure, install and maintain application software 
- Configure, install and maintain new PCs and hardware as required 
- Help administer the IT servers, including maintaining user accounts 
- Specify and order supplies and new parts from vendors as required 
- Monitor the IT systems on a day to day basis and escalate any issues that arise to the appropriate resources 
- Maintain the database of support issues

Key skills 
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP. 
- Basic understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration. 
- Excellent telephone manner.
