Linux Redhat Systems Engineer / Web Systems Engineer with specialist knowledge of Linux Redhat, PHP, Apache, Solaris, and ideally Nagios required by this renowned web based company in the City / Central London . Salary to £45,000 + Benefits.
The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Linux Redhat, Apache and be experienced working with large volume databases, your overall responsibility will be to support and enhance the website infrastructure.
Technically, candidates will have the following skills:
- Experience of supporting large and complex web infrastructures
- Proven Linux administration experience (RHEL is preferred)
- Strong shell scripting abilities (bash, bourne and others)
- Experience with Apache admin versions 1.x and 2.x
- Knowledge of the use and theory of firewalls and Load Balancers
- Knowledge of database administration such as (Sybase, Informix)
Your main duties will include:
Assist in planning and implementing application upgrades
Assist the development and testing teams in the rollout of projects
Provide day to day support to both production and development environments;
Installation of Linux, Apache, PHP and database clients
This is an ideal role for a Web Systems Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator with strong Linux abilities with an interest in sport looking for a role for an immediate start.
Salary: £45,000 + Benefits Package
