Junior J2EE Developer to £30k – Leicester

Junior J2EE Developer is required by a leading Retail client in Leicester. Candidates can expect a salary of up to £30,000.

Main Responsibilities:

- Initial responsibility for assisting with the implementation of a new eCommerce platform   and web sites.
- Continued responsibility to further develop and maintain new features and new web sites
- Responsibility to help support the integration of the eCommerce platform with internal business systems
- Support for the wider internal development team when building web based solutions
- Working with internal business customers to determine/agree their requirements, ensuring they are met and are in line with IT strategies and standards

Development experience of Java J2EE
Practical experience of other web technologies such as web services, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, PHP and Ajax
Experience with search engines, analytics and transaction processing
Excellent problem solving skills
Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation of workloads
A desire to work in a customer focused, values based environment

- Experience of working with a recognised eCommerce platform
- Experience of working with MS SQL Server
- Cross-browser experience (IE, firefox)
- Experience of mobile eCommerce/apps
- Microsoft .NET skills
- Development of tiered architecture systems
- Experience of development methodologies including waterfall and agile.
