We have three specialist divisions which recruit for IT, Accountancy & Finance and Marketing professionals. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ IT Network Support Engineer - Windows / Linux - Oxford - Ł28k Location: Oxford, Witney, Oxfordshire Type: Permanent Division: IT Recruitment Reference: IT Jobs - 4566 Salary: to Ł28,000 + Benefits IT Network Support Engineer – Windows / Linux – Oxford - £28k A Network Support Engineer is required by a leading eCommerce provider based on the outskirts of Oxford in Oxfordshire. The successful candidate will have strong networking skills and ideally knowledge of both Windows Server and Linux. A salary of up to £28,000 is offered to the successful candidate. The successful IT Network Support Engineer will have experience of managing and supporting network related infrastructures and will have experience in the majority of the following areas: - Network Administration experience - Experience of support both Microsoft Windows Servers (ideally 2003 and 2008) & Linux - Exposure to BIND & Postfix - Cisco (routers, switches, firewalls) - Knowledge of WAN technologies (proxies, web caches, DNS, POP3 / SMTP - Knowledge of high level programming / scripting (Perl or PHP) is desirable - MCSA / MCSE desirable - Previous experience of working in an ISP / Data Centre environment would be desirable The IT Network Support Engineer will provide day-to-day management and support for Internet related telecoms, server, router, firewall and backup systems within a results oriented, mission-critical environment.
