DB2 DBA - JEE Database Administrator - Farnborough / Hampshire - £50k
A DB2 Database Administrator with experience developing Java Enterprise Edition solutions is required by our client based near Farnborough, Hampshire. A salary of up to £45k basic is available dependent upon experience.
The DBA will install and configure DB2 version 9.5 on Windows and UNIX platforms. You will create, monitor and maintain production and development databases using DB2 analysis tools to troubleshoot SQL query faults and improve performance according to DBA industry standards.
DBA applicants should have strong DB2 Enterprise Edition and Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) experience as well as some knowledge of Oracle. You must have extensive UNIX shell scripting skills and strong and experience in a WebSphere Application Server environment with DB2.
General knowledge of further development languages such as XML, Java, HTML, Perl and EJB are highly desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Database Administrator or DB2 DBA to join a highly talented software development team in a dynamic and friendly environment. You will be based from offices near Farnborough, Hampshire although the successful candidate may be required to undertake international travel to support customers and overseas development teams.
